In 1898 Dr Bouty , a French pharmacist, established ITALIANA LABORATORI BOUTY, the first Italian company able to produce medicines based on essences derived from animals organs ( opotherapy).
In 1973 Bouty is acquired by Carter Wallace, Inc., a major USA multinational healthcare group. For Bouty this means entering international markets and opportunities to sell new and innovative products, such as whitening toothpastes- Pearl Drops- and home diagnostic pregnancy test- Confidelle.
In 1983 Bouty acquires Corsel - Wound, Oral and Hair care-, in 1994 Technogenetics - Biotech and Invitro Diagnostics- in 1997 Sanodent -Denture Adhesives
In 2001 Bouty becomes part of Armkel, the international business unit of the USA group, Church & Dwight
In 2002 Bouty management executes successful management buyout supported by a large Italian investment bank and major Italian mutual fund. |
